An overview of the best beaches in Istria. Where to go with children, where to find quieter swimming and where to park near Pula, Rovinj, Poreč, Medulin and Rabac.

Where to Find Quieter Beaches in Istria
Do not look for peace on the most famous beaches at noon in August. That does not work.
A better strategy:
- go in the morning,
- choose smaller coves,
- walk 10-20 minutes from the car park,
- avoid beaches directly next to large resorts,
- travel outside July and August,
- choose accommodation in a smaller village.
Quieter options:
- parts of Kamenjak outside the most famous coves,
- Barbariga,
- some sections around Vrsar,
- the edges of beaches near Rovinj outside the centre,
- smaller coves between Premantura and Medulin.
Finally, I will add beaches that are close to our location. Pripanje Beach is located only 3 km from our apartments. It offers three beaches next to each other and interest in this beach has increased recently. Ravni Beach is another ideal beach for families with children. There is a restaurant, a multi-purpose court and a beautiful view. Sveta Marina, Plaža Prtlog and Luka Beach are also worth mentioning.
